BrightHear: Our Story
BrightHear is a private hearing practice co-founded in 2009 by audiologists, Dr. Daisy Elwick and Jaklin Naghdi Gabaee, with the idea of providing hearing solutions for every lifestyle and budget. Today, Jaklin Naghdi Gabaee is the main audiologist and runs the practice. Jaklin is dedicated to providing the people of Los Angeles with expert hearing care regardless of their budget. We help people of all ages with their hearing health, from children to adults.
BrightHear opened in West Hollywood in 2009 and expanded in 2010 when we opened a second office in Encino. We believe in providing our patients with exceptional hearing care so they can live their lives to the fullest with better hearing.

Meet the Team
Jaklin Naghdi Gabaee
Audiologist, M.S., F-AAA, CCC-A
Jaklin Naghdi Gabaee is a board-certified clinical audiologist and hearing aid dispenser. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California Los Angeles, and her master’s degree in audiology from California State University, Northridge. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology board. She is accredited with the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Prior to co-founding BrightHear, Jaklin worked with the Los Angeles Unified School District as well as American Hearing & Balance. She has vast experience diagnosing individuals with hearing loss, and educating families, other healthcare professionals, nurses, and teachers on the topic of hearing health. Jaklin believes that every patient should receive the highest quality of care when seeking hearing solutions or hearing aids. She strives to establish a long-term relationship with each patient and their families. She makes sure to always educate her patients on hearing loss and the available treatments to improve hearing and overall quality of life. Jaklin speaks English, Farsi, Hebrew, and Spanish.

Michael manages the BrightHear office on Wilshire. He is most recognized as the voice you book appointments with. He has been at your service since 2014. He enjoys his work and helping patients with their hearing healthcare needs. He says, “It’s magical seeing a patient regain hearing when just moments ago, they sat without. It’s transformative getting one’s hearing back to function. You really see patients change for the better.”
How We Give Back to Our Community
Our audiologist, Jaklin Naghdi Gabaee, is a part of many local organizations and community programs in Los Angeles. She does her best to volunteer her time educating individuals about hearing health and providing free hearing screenings and hearing aid fittings. Jaklin is member of the Los Angeles Lions Club. Jaklin spends a lot of time advocating for people with hearing loss and does her best to help those in need of hearing care through her participation in multiple community programs.
